Keep Reading with Webster READS!

Dear Students and Parents,

Lots of you will spend your summer relaxing and participating in activities you enjoy.  We hope reading will be among those.  Be sure to take advantage of the district-wide Webster READS! Program so that your time spent reading can be recognized and rewarded at Hixson Middle School next fall.  Also, all area public libraries are offering incentive reading programs, with  prizes and fun activities.  You can list any books read for one of those programs on the Webster READS form, also (click the link and print the form or stop by the Hixson office to pick one up).

You might even get a head start on reading books from one of the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL) book awards lists.  The Truman Readers Award is for books written especially for students in grades six through eight. The nominated books reflect the range of interests, reading levels, and even maturity levels found at middle school.
