Coins for Cancer fundraiser - Pajama day

Help Student Council put cancer to bed!

Bring in a one-dollar donation tomorrow, October 9th and wear your pajamas to school!

Pajamas need to be school-appropriate and not distract from others' learning.

Student Council thanks you for your support of the Coins for Cancer fundraiser.

Bus Passes
Attention students; if you ride bus 03, 04 or 05 you will need to have your new pass the morning of October 14.  Please visit with Ms. Edwards in the main office to exchange or purchase a 2nd quarter bus pass.

Ivory Crockett Run - October 19th
What can you do in 9 seconds?  It only took Ivory Crockett 9 seconds to set the world record in the 100 yard dash in 1974.  You will have an opportunity to meet Mr. Crockett at the Health Fair this Wednesday.
Don't forget to sign up for the 10th Annual Ivory Crockett Run on Oct 19th.  The race features a 4-mile race, a 1-mile fun run/walk and a 100 yard dash for kids.  You can pick up a registration form from your PE teacher or from Mr. Crockett on Wednesday.

Health Fair - Wednesday October 9th
This Wednesday is our annual health fair during your PE/Discovery/Gems time. There are many opportunities to learn about your health!  If you would like to have your blood sugar tested there is a form in the gym that will need to be picked up and have filled out by your parent.  Also remember to bring a pencil to the health fair!

Archery Club
Due to no after school activities this week 8th grade archery will begin next Thursday Oct. 17th.  All 8th grade archery members must be in attendance on Oct. 17th to participate in the archery club. No exceptions will be made.
Hixson Book Fair - Stop by during conferences this week
Sales from the book fair are promising after just 2 days, but we still have a long way to go to reach our goal of selling 400 books. We are currently at 57 sold.
Remind your parents to come shop at conferences today. They can also enter your name in the contest for posters.

Webster Groves Field Hockey
This just in! Are you interested in field hockey? If you are, then you’re in luck, tomorrow October 9th come out Moss field to watch the Stateswoman take on Clayton High school at 4 pm. Then on October 10th 7th graders can head down to Moss field ,after school, to learn more about the sport of field hockey with guidance from our Webster groves varsity players!
