Meeting Minutes

8:45 a.m.
Dr. Jason Heisserer and 14 parents/guardians in attendance
Dr. Heisserer welcomed everyone in attendance and had each
one introduce themselves.
He explained how a year flows and what is expected of
students and new strategies for teachers. Dr. Heiserer also explained what
Discovery is and how it works.
Dr. Heisserer covered many topics including lunch schedules,
websites, emails, phone blasts, and projected class sizes.
Dr. Heisserer further explained how the grading periods work
and how a grade is not final until the end of the semester, not the term.
He commented on how well the Career and Health Fair went.
Due to fewer half-days, both fairs had to be combined this year but all went
mostly smoothly.
Dr. Heisserer expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming All
School Party. Kids can purchase tickets during lunch for $5 by 10/23.
