Parents and Families of 8th Graders are Invited to
Hixson Middle School's Annual
8th Grade Recognition Ceremony
to be held at 7pm in the gymnasium on
Thursday, May 15th, 2014.
An informal Power Point presentation will run on a loop beginning at 6pm. This presentation recognizes all of the students in the 8th grade class. After the program, a link to this program will be placed in the parent portal for further viewing.
The formal program begins at 7pm. This program features 10 student speakers and the presentation of four awards: Math and English-Language Arts, Perfect Attendance, Hixson High Five, and the Thomas M. Franey Service Award.
Students and families should dress comfortably as this is not a formal event, so please dress in a way that respectfully acknowledges this transition from middle to high school. Students are expected to return to school on Friday and during the week of May 19th. Their culminating field trip will be to Six Flags on May 23rd, the last day of school.
With pride and with great expectations,
Jason Heisserer, EdD
