I want to
thank those parents who volunteered to work with me to discuss the dress code
for Hixson Middle School. Our first
meeting is this Thursday, at 3:45. We
will look at a variety of dress codes and begin developing what will work for
us. This will be shared with the
students and we’ll be looking for student input.
Chromebook distribution has begun and it is a priority to get the students their district Chromebook as soon as possible. As you can imagine, it takes many people many hours to prepare the 730 chromebooks for our students and I’m grateful for all their work. Because of the delay in distribution this year, I’ll be working with the Hixson Technology department who have several ideas on improving that process for the following years. Thank you to the Hixson students for their patience while we prepare and roll out the Chromebooks.
This week we
welcomed Mebbie Landsness as our substitute teacher for Mrs. Hill. Ms. Landsness is certified 5th –
12th grade in math and chemistry.
No Student Attendance - September 2nd and 5th
September 2nd is a professional development day for teachers; September 5th is Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend!
