Arrival Reminder
Beginning Monday, Hixson will no longer be open to students prior to 7:50 a.m. Please do not drop off students prior to this time as we will not have supervision for them. The Rec Center has developed a program for students who need to be dropped off before 7:50. Please see the flier below for more information.
Term 1 Progress
Last Friday marked the end of term 1 at Hixson. You may now check your child's progress by logging in to the Parent Portal and clicking on the "Grade" tab. On this tab, you will see your child's term 1 progress grades as well as any comments your child's teachers may have shared.
Please remember that this is a time to monitor your child's progress. Term grades are cumulative and are not final until the end of the first semester. If you have any questions about your child's progress, please contact your child's teachers.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
To sign up for a conference with your child's teachers, please visit: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Hixson_Middle_School_1.
Please note that many math teachers and all elective teachers are meeting separating from the team conferences. If you would like to schedule a conference with these teachers, you will need to visit the site again.
Hixson Pond
We are looking for volunteer families to help maintain the
Hixson Pond. If you are interested in
cleaning the pond, caring for the fish, please let me know. It would be a great family project! If we get several volunteer families, we can
share in the responsibility.
Hixson House Tour
There will be a House Tour meeting on Monday, October
3 from 7-8pm at the Novel Neighbor (7905 Big Bend). If you are interested
in chairing a committee, being a lead host on the day of the
tour or taking on another active lead role please attend this
