Black History fact
Katherine Dunham from East St. Louis, was the first black choreographer to work at the Metropolitan Opera House. A dancer, choreographer, school founder and anthropologist, she incorporated her study of African and West Indian dance into her techniques and instruction. The Dunham Dancers set the stage for the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, founded in 1958.

From the Students
For three days we will be on the announcements to talk about the effects of plastic water bottles and the outcome of our environment if we use more steel water bottles instead of plastic.
Whoever guesses correctly is entered for a prize! We will announce the winner tomorrow during the announcements!
At the end, we will ask a question about our daily topic. For today our question is: how many water bottles does the US throw away each day?

Stop by the office and submit your answer today!
