Proposition
W, a $28 million bond issue on the ballot April 7, would alleviate the crowding
by converting Steger Sixth Grade Center into an additional elementary school
and moving sixth grade to Hixson Middle School. For additional information about
the propositions, visit the district’s informational page at http://www.webster.k12.mo.us/pages/WGSD/Bond_Issue
In need of ear buds and headphones!
As you are aware, our students will be taking the state assessment this spring, MAP (Missouri Assessment Program). A portion of the test will require headphones for listening. Please ensure your child brings headphones or ear buds to school during the testing window:
7th graders test April 21 through April 28
8th graders test March 30th through April 20th
7th graders test April 21 through April 28
8th graders test March 30th through April 20th
Thank you for your cooperation. Please let your child's counselor know if it is not possible to send in headphones.
Food Truck Fundraiser
During conferences next week, food trucks will be parked on the Elm lot. These trucks will be donating a portion of their proceeds to our efforts to bring the Rachel's Challenge program back to Hixson in the fall.
- The Meltdown will be here on Wednesday, March 11th with sandwiches and soups. To view this truck's menu, click here.
- The Cake Stop will be here on both nights with cupcakes and other desserts. To pre-order a cupcake for March 11, click here. To pre-order a cupcake for March 12, click here.
Continuing our Rachel's Challenge work please consider picking up one of our kindness cards in the office. It would be a great way to show a staff member you appreciate their work by giving them a sweet treat from the cupcake truck or purchasing a book from the book fair. Thanks for your support!
8th Grade Registration Forms
After today, all 7th grade teams have been visited by the counselor to discuss 8th grade elective choices. Registration forms have been sent home with every student and may be turned in starting Monday, March 9. If your student was absent or misplaced their form, click here to print a new form.
Students were informed that a parent/guardian must sign off on their elective choices or the form will be sent back home.
Due to scheduling of counselor visits students received their forms at different times. Some forms have been turned in, however the date received is still March 9 to keep the options fair for class size limits. If you have questions or concerns regarding 8th grade registration for electives please contact Mrs. Bodi, 314-918-4555 or Dr. Roberts 314-918-4552.
