From the Principal, Dr. Smith...
Happy Friday Hixson Families!
Hope you all had a short, but great week as we did at Hixson. This week several members of our district office administration took time out to spend in our classrooms observing the learning environment our one to one Chromebook initiative provides students. Students are engaging in applying knowledge, collaboration, and synthesis of learning and making connections to new information. Ask your child about one to one learning!
Our students have been Ready, Responsible, and Respectful as we have taught our three learning expectations to students in August and September, great job kiddos!
Our after school activities are going very well! Students are experiencing opportunities to learn about, explore, and do a variety of interesting activities Tuesdays through Thursdays from 3:15-4:00.
Please look for a link in next week's Blog post to sign up for Fall Parent Teacher Conferences in October!
UPCOMING DATES TO NOTE:
