8th

On May 11th, the annual 8th grade
Dance will be held at Hixson Middle and sponsored by Student Council and the PTO. The dance will begin at 6:00pm and conclude
at 8:00pm. This year’s theme is Masquerade. While masks are encouraged as part of the
theme, full faced masks will not be allowed.
The evening will include dancing, karaoke, board games and photo booth
pictures.
Starting on Monday, 3/30, Student Council students will
begin selling tickets for $5.00. Tickets
will cover the cost of pizza for each student. Actual physical tickets will not

Immunizations - 8th Grade Parents for 2018-2019 School Year
In
compliance with our school board policy and
state law, all students will need to show proper documentation of immunization
compliance to attend the 1st day of school next year,
August 14th. All students entering 8th grade will need documentation that a meningococcal immunization
AND Tdap booster immunization have been obtained. Proof of compliance
may also include documentation from St. Louis County Department of Health and
Senior Services stating that your child has a medical exemption, is in progress of attaining
the required immunizations, or has a religious exemption. Please refer to
the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services website or a physician
for additional details regarding the meningococcal vaccine and all other
immunization requirements. We are sharing this now in the hopes that
no student will have to be excluded from school for not having this required
documentation.
In
order to begin preparing for the next school year, we wanted to begin sharing
this information now
Farewell to Dr.

School Principal Jon Clark is retiring at the end of this school year. If you’d
like to congratulate him and wish him well, we are asking that you send a video
clip to the school district, which we will compile for him.
Please send your video message
to bill@wgmail.org by Sunday, May 13.
In lieu of gifts, we are
accepting donations to the Jon Clark Student Support Fund, acct.780. This fund
